Is education just a collection of knowledge?
Knowledge is everything you acquire, education, on other hand, is what you receive from teachers, parents, friends or tutors. Education is more than knowing information, it is applying such information in daily life. What is exercised grows stronger and what is ignored stays dormant. Knowledge by itself has no value, it is like a dictionary filled with words. Words by themselves have no value, it is the process of putting them together and making a sentence what gives them a value.
How do I imagine education will be like in 50 years?
I think if we are not careful with technology in our classroom, we will struggle for students' attention. If we make a class 50% their pen and mind and 50% technology, we will finally find the balance we need in our classroom.
For example, the classrooms would be different. It is used in some colleges to have a teacher in front of the class lecturing the students and the student is taking notes. Passive students.
In 50 years everyone will use a computer, instead of taking notes, they will be thinking of building new things, innovating technology. Active students. We will be more creative, because everything is possible, there are no technological barriers.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of the use of technology in the classroom?
I strongly believe that technology in the classroom is a double-edged sword.
The advantages are that technology can be interesting and motivating. We can use different kind of texts, fonts, pictures, videos to enhance our teaching. We can have on-line lessons or use the blackboard for homework. Students can use wikis or blogs in order to research for new material. Technology promotes independent learning. We can store material for the future.
The disadvantages are that we can have a lot of technical problems. Some students are very advanced with the use of technology and other ones are slow. I believe that teachers struggle to draw students' attention #soguilty #imsorry . As we know for sure internet connection IS a problem in our library (or every other part of the school).

If you could learn everything you need in life by just implanting a chip in your brain, would you do it?
I would definitely choose yes because I am lazy, but the best answer is always no. Not everything you do is straight from the book, what about creativity and innovation. That can not be taught or learned
It’s up to you to seek out the awesome and inspiring elements in your surroundings and see all of them as possibilities to be inspired.
"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition." -Steve Jobs

In what ways can IMNRC improve its use of technology in the classroom?
Technology doesn't replace great instruction, but can enhance it.
With Smart boards in every classroom the interactions between teachers and students would be more effective. This can help teachers so their classes could be more effective and they have access to high-quality content that appeals to different learning styles and tools to instantly assess student comprehension.
Teachers, in order to be the key to success in schools, need the right tools to do their job effectively. Giving teachers the right technology would expand the possibilities of what they can achieve in the classroom. Students are more involved in the classroom and they catch up with the lessons easier. Teachers interact more with their students and their activities are more interactive.
The main advantage of the SMART Bridgit software is that students can connect to classes from home, which is the main purpose of our career.

Will technology ever stop progressing?
Sometimes
we have to step back to see how dramatic the change of technology has
been, in order to see how dramatic our future will be. The evolution of
technology over the last five decades has fundamentally shifted the
position of the customer as we move in a decade of social business. As
technology spread (in the form of PCs, then the Internet,
then mobile devices, then Smartphones) buyers, customers, and consumers
felt more empowered to deal with companies and corporations of their choosing.
With social media, the last few years have seen a tremendous change in
how customers can now openly review and engage with companies, provide
insight into products and services, negotiate prices with greater effectiveness,
and have insights at their fingertips that were previously only held
by a select few.
